WELCOME TO LOS GATOS

Where luxury meets comfort. Ranked one of the wealthiest cities by Bloomberg Businessweek; this city has it all from tranquil forests to a bustling downtown. Los Gatos schools are nationally recognized as some of the best and most elite schools in the Bay Area. Some schools include Louise Van Meter Elementary, Raymond J. Fisher Middle School, and Los Gatos High. One of the best things to experience while living in Los Gatos is one of the most popular parks in the south bay, Vasona Lake County Park. From train rides to standup paddleboarding, this park has it all. It also is host to the annual Vason Fantasy of Lights in which the park is filled with light-powered holiday scenes, imageries, and animation sure to please the whole family. The Santa Clara County town of Los Gatos is quaint and pristine, home to just over 30,000 residents and conveniently located near San Francisco and San Jose. Part of Silicon Valley, Los Gatos maintains a quiet feel with all the comforts of home.

Los Gatos’ unique name Spanish for “the cats” was inspired by the population of wild cougars and bobcats found in the foothills. Originally, an Alta California land grant spanned this area and was named La Rinconada de Los Gatos, or “Cat’s Corner.” The town was officially founded in the 1850s when a flour mill was built in the area and experienced a revitalization in the 1920s as an artists’ colony.
